In addition Specsavers have made two key changes to their Varifocal range : the Standard varifocal range now starts at 75 Euros per pair, including free anti scratch treatment – an additional saving of 29 Euros per pair. The mid range Premium Varifocal remains at 115 Euros and the Elite at 145 Euros per pair.

NEW FREEFORM VARIFOCAL LENSES

Over the last 50 years successive advances in design and technology of Varifocals have improved wearer vision and comfort, however for those wearers who have experienced problems, those problems have tended to be  linked to either a restricted field of view or peripheral distortion in the lens.

Modern advances in technology now make it possible to digitally map all surfaces of the lens – this is called Freeform technology.
