Muebles Toucan is a family business which has only recently been opened in Muro de Alcoy by Juan Oscar Amarilla Munoz and his mother Maria Luisa Munoz. Mubles Tucan import handcrafted natural wood furniture from South American. All the furniture is made from the South American Tatare tree, it is rainproof, sun resistant, very durable and deceptively heavy. Perfect for the garden, but so beautiful that you may even consider it for in the home. The show area is situated in the gardens of Maria's Villa, which is a perfect environment to see just how the furniture could look in you own garden. There are many different types and styles of tables, benches and chairs, but as Juan told I.T “ the beauty of it is you can mix and match, you don't have to buy the whole set that you see in front of you, if you want a certain table and a bench only this is fine, if you want a selection of different style chairs you can, each piece is completely unique.” Prices start from around 70€ for a stool or wine rack. They are open every day including Sundays from 9.30- 8.30. If you are looking for something a little different or special pay them a visit, you will be made very welcome, Maria has always got the coffee pot on. Juan has kindly offered all Inland Trader readers a special 10% discount which is valid throughout February. It's easy to find, as you come into Muro follow the sign for Agres it is about 200 yards on your right, you can see the furniture from the road.
