New back pain treatment centre in Oliva.

Are you suffering from back pain? I know several of my friends and family who are. Well now on the Coast help is at hand with the opening of the Siglo 21 T.A.P.E.D. CLINIC in Oliva, an associate of 21st Century Back Care, a UK-based clinic.  They utilise an entirely new approach to the treatment of chronic and acute back and neck pain, the Technology Assisted Micro-mobilisation And Reflex Stimulation (TAMARS) device.

I went along to visit them in their clinic and got all the low down on what they had to offer. What I found was someone had taken time out to apply modern technology to an age old problem. Administering a safe, drug free and non-surgical treatment that frees and straightens the spinal vertebrae, the hand-held, computer console-controlled TAMARS device can best be described as a ‘bionic hand’.  It has three modes of treatment designed to restore elasticity, mobility and flexibility to the musculoskeletal joints of the spine. By examining the mechanics of the spine, the TAMARS device can resolve many spinal problems which were previously only treatable by invasive surgery. I found that after only a brief treatment I felt I’d gained two inches in height and my sagging belly was better supported!
Siglo 21 T.A.P.E.D is the first clinic in Spain to use TAMARS. The clinic believes back problems can most effectively be handled by prevention, and treatment can help reduce the likelihood of painful conditions occurring in the future.
Raymond Knox, director at TAPED and 21st Century Back Care, comments: ‘The accepted medical view is that most back pain does not have an identifiable cause and what's important is treating the symptoms. We want to show that it’s not enough merely to treat the symptoms, but instead we need to fix the underlying problem. The non-invasive nature of the treatment and the wide range of settings mean TAMARS can be safely used on people of virtually any age.
As well as back and neck pain, the device can be used to help with arm and leg pain or numbness, frozen shoulders, kyphosis, lordosis, dowager’s hump and scoliosis. TAMARS can even be helpful for those with prolapsed discs by taking pressure off the affected area. In addition to these common back problems, patients who have been treated with TAMARS have seen vast improvements with symptoms such as fatigue, migraines and bladder problems.’
