Last time we briefly discussed the 7 major energy centres – the Chakras. The Chakras co-ordinate with the colours of the Rainbow, beginning with the colour Red at the Base, (or Root) Chakra, which can be found at the bottom of the spine. The remainder as follows:

The body, and Aura, contains hundreds of Chakras which spin in a clockwise direction. Every living being, including the Earth, has Chakras. The Chakras in the lower part of the body spin at a slower vibration than those in the upper body and head. Also, the lower Chakras correspond to issues of the material world, while the upper ones are focused more on Spiritual issues.

There are various methods that can be used to cleanse your Chakras, these can include Meditations (which you can listen to on CD or tape), any of the vibrational healing methods discussed last time, and also through sound.

In ancient times people would chant. Today it is still widely practised and in many forms. Musical tones also clear the Chakras. It has been found that each Chakra resonates at these specific musical tones: Base/Root C, Sacral D, Solar Plexus E, Heart F, Throat G, Brow/Third Eye A and Crown B. A tuning fork can ring these notes, and also large Crystal bowls, and Tibetan singing bowls – which can be found in metaphysical stores, at Psychic fairs, and Mind, Body and Spirit festivals. The bowls seem to ‘sing’ as you run a wooden dowel around the bowl’s perimeter. Attending a ‘Singing Bowls and Sound’ workshop can be an amazing experience when you find out which note resonates with YOU!

The Aura is full of light and colours, which can be seen or sensed. The more you work on developing spiritually, the easier it is to see the energy field and the colours contained. Auras look like the wavering energy field around the sun. They constantly change in shape, size and colouring, in perfect unison with the person’s thoughts and emotions.

You can try to see a person’s Aura by having someone a few feet in front of you, at first perhaps sitting on a chair, against a plain white background. Relax and take a few deep breaths with your eyes closed. The look towards your partner and allow your eyes to soften their focus – I would suggest that it’s almost like looking at a 3D picture. Now, use your inner vision to discern any colours. You may at first doubt your ability, but trust the information that is coming in – even though you ‘think’ it’s coming from your imagination! The left-brain will try and argue that you imagined it all when in-fact the right-brain knows full well that the colours are there! TRUST!
