I am sure many of you by now have heard or even taken part in the Britbuys Karaoke competition. Originally this competition was only available for those who live near the coastal venues, but now there are several heats being run in several inland bars and there is still time for you to pop along and enter. You don't have to be the next Will Young or Girls Aloud to take part. After all, some of the greatest entertainers have not had the best singing voices!
The most important thing is that if you enjoy singing and can entertain the crowds for whatever reason then you can still go and enter the Britbuys karaoke competition. see across this page for info on forthcoming dates and venues.
Rosie, of Ricardo’s in Lloc Nou de Fenollet kindly invited me along last Friday to be one of the judges. Hey, I thought! At least I could combine working with a night off for a change! It was a great night and the bar was packed, so much so that the some took to dancing outside.
Our Britbuys Karaoke hosts Chris and Philip, did a fantastic job organising the event and made the evening go with a real swing.
During the first party of the evening it was an open mic for those who just fancied singing and for contestants to have a vocal warm up.
Jamie aged 12 treated us to an impressive “Like a Prayer” by Madonna. He will certainly be a main contender in years to come.
