U.D.  Benigànim are one of the oldest clubs in the Community Valenciana, formed in 1949. They have not acquired huge sporting achievements, only promotion to the third division, but they have good facilities which allows the team to rub shoulders with top teams in the community. Benigànim play at the Emilio         Cuquerella Stadium which is presently managed by Jaime Mestre and they are trained by Gerardo Ortells, who is completing a second season as coach. The aspirations of the club are "to encounter as few difficulties as possible and remain in the third division". An objective which at the beginning of the season was looking unlikely, but in recent weeks Benigànim have improved notably. This week          Beniganim have signed up a new player, Bru, originally  a defender for Canals.
